Leading telecom carrier and IT solutions company
• Accountable for China SD-WAN, China Premium Internet Access and MPLS-VPN network design, planning and development, to sustain China connectivity business and revenue growth in Hong Kong and China.
• Responsible for SD-WAN network design & planning works, including technology evaluation, equipment vendor & carrier selection, new network implementation in mainland China & HK, including interconnections with other China and international services providers.
• Responsible for expansion, consolidation of existing China Premium Internet (PI) and MPLS-VPN networks, to meet business demand growth, as well as enhancement of these networks to improve performance, scalability, reliability, costs while evolving the networks to support future China network services.
• Accountable for
• Formulation of network design standards & guidelines,
• Formulation of maintenance &operational procedures,
• Planning & implementation of network coverage and capacity expansion (e.g. network point-of-presence, network node & trunk, Service provider partner network-to-network interconnection trunks),
• Network capacity management, to achieve just-in-time network capacity to meet business demand growth
• Network costs management, including improvement of service provisioning costs, network capacity utilization,
• Network audit to identify network vulnerability & security loopholes, and formulate plans to improve these weaknesses.
• University Degree holder or equivalent in Information Engineering, Telecom Engineering or Computer Science.
• A minimum of 8 years’ working experience IT & Telecom industry, of which at least 2 years in network development, design, planning or technical support roles.
• Hands-on experience in formulation and implementation of wide-area network (WAN) network design & planning guidelines.
• Experience in network project management of mainland China carriers or enterprises’ WAN projects an advantage.
• Self-motivated and result-oriented. Good business acumen & analytic skills. Good verbal and written communications skills. Good interpersonal skills.
• High proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Putonghua).
