Network and Deskside Team Lead
Client Description

Company Description: A leading technology, media, and telecommunication company with over 150 years of history, providing fixed-line, broadband, and mobile communication services in Hong Kong.​
Location: Primary: Kowloon Bay; Additional: On-site support at various customer sites​
Nature: Renewable Contract (12 months)​

• Required to provide standby support for critical incidents during weekends and public holidays.​
• Required to work for scheduled network maintenance during non-office hours.​
• Time-off will be provided for non-office hours work.​

Job Description

• Perform daily operational support and fault isolation on network incidents.​
• Configure network routers, switches, and access points.​
• Maintain and support network equipment.​
• Deploy, support, and manage network projects.​
• Maintain and update network equipment inventory.​
• Provide ad-hoc support and quick solutions to users as needed.​
• Supervise and guide a team of desktop support technicians.​
• Assign tasks and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.​
• Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues.​
• Oversee troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network-related issues.​
• Ensure regular updates, patches, and maintenance of operating systems and applications.​
• Manage hardware and software deployments, including new system rollouts.​
• Oversee inventory management of IT assets such as computers, peripherals, and licenses.​
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for desktop support.​
• Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and best practices.​
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.​

Job Requirements

• Proficient CCNA-level networking skills, including TCP/IP, IP Subnets, NAT, ACL, LAN and WAN technologies, VLANs, Static and Dynamic Routing.​
• Knowledge of Ruckus, Cisco, Extreme, Huawei, Fortinet, and TP-Link products (AP, router, switch).​
• Diploma or above in Information Technology or related discipline.​
• At least 4 years of IT support experience.​
• Knowledge of Windows environments.​
• Good leadership and team management abilities.​
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.​
• Basic knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Applications.​
• Polite and good at communicating with end-users, customers, ISPs, vendors, and teammates.​
• Self-disciplined, proactive, responsible with a positive attitude.​
