Senior System Engineer (Wintel)
Candidates with less experience will be considered as System Engineer.
Responsibilities
• Provide deep-level support and IT architecture service to customers
• Design, implement and support technology solutions and integrated systems solutions to customers
• Provide technical consultancy and prepare proposals/reports/documentations for
• solutions to meet customers’ technology and service requirements
• Perform as Project Manager and assist in IT Service Management whenever needed
• Provide IT Infrastructure planning and consulting services to customers
• Enabler of ITIL Life Cycle and industrial and technology standards
System Engineer
Responsibilities
• Support to variant network infrastructure projects implementation to meet the service target launch date
• Perform server and system administration, monitor application performance and availability
• Perform server and system routine tasks such as backup job and system patch update
• Support & manage the backup system, resolve and return the failure backup job
• Support the system maintenance, failover and DR drill activity
• Maintain server inventory, operation document and procedure are up to date
• Perform other ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor
Senior System Engineer (Wintel)
Requirements
• Diploma /University graduate with above 5 years in relevant IT infrastructure roles
• Experience in supporting and servicing core enterprise infrastructure environment in corporations
• Solid and hands-on knowledge in Wintel Solutions (e.g. operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange email with archiving solution, MS System Center, storage and backup solution, etc.)
• Knowledge in virtualization technology such as VMware and Hyper-V, and backup technology such as Veeam, Commvault and Symantec is preferred
• Knowledge/experience in other IT infrastructure areas (e.g. Infrastructure networking, heterogeneous IT environment with different Wintel/Unix/Linux platform, DR and virtualization, Oracle and SQL database clustering, infrastructure design, Data Centre, etc.) is an advantage
• Strong team player with strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong decision making, problem solving skills, project management skills, highly organized, detail oriented and self-motivating
• Ability to work calmly under pressure, multitask, prioritize independently and within a team environment
• ITIL Foundation/MCSE/CCNA certified is preferred
System Engineer
Requirements
• Diploma /Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline
• Certificate holder of MCSA and MCSE would be advantage
• With 3 years hands on experience with Windows and Linux system administration
• Experience in Windows AD, VMWare, backup system administration
• Experience in Windows and Linus system and patch installation
• Working knowledge on IP network and network devices
• Experience in Window and Unix shell scripting writing is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good command in spoken and written English and Chinese
